'FURIOUS 7' holds fast at the box office
April 27, 2015Furious 7 held fast at the box office this weekend, remaining in the top spot for the fourth week in a row. The film has not only sped off with first place at the box office for four weeks consecutively, but has also set a record by becoming the third film to gross over $1.3 billion worldwide, joining the likes of Avatar and Titanic. Furious 7 has been particularly successful abroad, making a record $323 million in China.
Coming in second place with $15.5 million in its second week was comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, starring Kevin James.
New release The Age of Adeline, starring Blake Lively, came in at number 3 for the April 24 weekend box office. The romantic fantasy earned $13.4 million.
DreamWork's Home and Universal's horror film Unfriended round out the top five for the weekend box office.
