Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis announced the nominees for the 69th annual Tony Awards on April 28 from the Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel in midtown Manhattan.

An American in Paris and Fun Home lead the nominations with 12 each followed closely by Something Rotten! with 10. If you know me, you know that I love the performing arts. I lettered in the arts (dance and theatre) in high school (Yes, you can do that) and continue to support the arts every chance I get. Whenever I am in New York, I see at least two Broadway shows and a few off-Broadway if I can fit them in. The Tony Awards are like the SuperBowl of theater and I look forward to them every year.

Tony winners Kristen Chenoweth and Alan Cumming will host this year's award ceremony. The 2015 Tony Awards by The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing will air live on CBS Sunday, June 7 at 8/7 c.
