'GAME OF THRONES: A Day in the Life' HBO promo
January 21, 2015
HBO has been busy trying to keep us
from going through withdrawals while we wait for the new season of Game of Thrones to start on April 12.
First, they announced Game of Thrones on IMAX,
which received such great reception that they pushed back a week to add additional venues showing the last two episodes of season 4 + Season 5 trailer later
this month. You can still get tickets here. If you don’t get tickets to Game of Thrones on the HUGE (IMAX)
screen don’t worry, you can always catch past episodes of GoT on HBO GO and HBO will be posting a copy of the season 5 trailer online at some point. Now, HBO
has released a promo for an upcoming special, Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life, which will give us fans a look into what goes into making one of our favorite
shows.
3
countries, hundreds of cast & crew, 1 epic day
The half-hour documentary special
shows an inside look at one day of season 5 production which occurs on three
different sets. The unique thing about Game of Thrones is that these sets are
in three different countries: Belfast, Northern Ireland; Dubrovnik, Croatia;
Sevilla and Osuna, Spain. HBO shoots GoT from various countries using 2 units throughout
the entire season, which is practically unheard of. But, I hope they don’t
change a thing in future productions because the show is visually stunning. I
digress. The documentary follows key members of the crew and feature “the epic
sets, renowned cast and global scale of Thrones, as well as the more intimate
and individual challenges of our subjects, giving the audience a new
perspective on one of the most elaborate productions in television history.”
Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life
airs Sunday, February 8, at 7:30PM on HBO. Don’t forget in Game of Thrones TheRaven Brings The Sight, so check out threeyedraven.com for visions of the future!
